VIGNAMITHRA is a term derived from two Sanskrit roots: “Vigna,” meaning knowledge and remover of obstacles, and “Mithra,” meaning friend. Together, it symbolizes “a friend who removes obstacles through knowledge and support.”
VIGNAMITHRA is designed to transform how communities perceive and manage solid waste by fostering awareness, responsibility, and collective action. It encourages every community member to become an active environmental steward, promoting shared responsibility for protecting ecosystems and addressing environmental challenges collectively.
